Katie Boyle

Graphic Designer, Curator, Critical Writer and Observer

I am a research-led graphic designer, critical writer and curator who has a keen interest in the visual arts; bridging publication, exhibition and interior design. I  consider my curatorial stance to embody an ‘artist-as-curator’ approach, where I have a personal understanding of artistic expression, processes and practices.

I look for inspiration in pre-existing facets of life, including nature, historic design movements and progressive design attitudes. Design is an attitude: it is a mutual understanding between people, a process and a means of communication.

I am proficient in fabricating or extracting strong narratives and curating information and visual material into various graphic outputs, both digital and analogue. I am dexterous in and not limited to, all Adobe platforms including InDesign, AfterEffects and Photoshop; the 3D render softwares of SketchUp and Fusion360; and finally, augmented reality simulation using Adobe Aero. I can use a range of softwares in conjuction to produce exceptional outputs.
